Royal Scot picture information: In 1927 the Royal Scot class 4-6-0 was introduced by the LMS and was designed by Sir Henry Fowler. The first fifty locomotives were built by the North British Locomotive Company. Configuration 4-6-0, wheel diameter 6 feet 9 inches, three cylinders. The Royal Scot was withdrawn in 1962.
