Plane information: Some of the British bombers that were used during WW2 were: Avro Manchester, Avro Lancaster, Bristol Blenheim, Handley Page Halifax, Handley Page, Martin A-22 Maryland, Martin A-30 Baltimore, Short Stirling, and the Vickers Wellington. The world's first commercial jet airplane was the De Havilland Comet. This aircraft was in service with BOAC in the early 1950's. A famous WWII German aircraft is the Messerschmitt Me 109.
