WW1 Recruting Office picture.
Military information: The Howitzer is a type of field artillery, that was developed in the 17th century to fire high trajectory explosive shells. The Soviet Union and Nazi Germany excelled in producing heroic images, placing their soldiers in a semi-mythical context. The propaganda war that accompanied World War II depicted the enemy in unflattering terms. New weapons can dramatically alter the face of war.
