Tawny Owl picture information: The Tawny owl is a stocky, medium-sized bird which is common in woodlands across much of Europe. This owl is non-migratory and it is a nocturnal bird of prey. The tawny owl hunts mainly rodents, usually by dropping from a perch to seize its victim. Its night hunting is aided by vision, hearing and silent flight.
